Bar Harbor Webcams: Live Views of Town, Frenchman Bay and Acadia

Bar Harbor Webcams – What each live cam shows: downtown, Frenchman Bay and Acadia. Updated October 2026.

Bar Harbor has several live webcams, and each one looks at something different: Main Street, the bay and ferry terminal, or the view across to the park. Here is what each cam shows and where to find it. We link to each cam on its own site and do not host any feeds ourselves.

Quick answer: For downtown Bar Harbor, the waterfront and Main Street, use the Geddy’s cam. For Frenchman Bay, the ferry terminal and the sand bar to Bar Island, use EarthCam’s Frenchman Bay cam. For views from the Bar Harbor Inn and around Mount Desert Island, use barharborcam.com. For a park view of Acadia from the Schoodic Peninsula, use the National Park Service cam, which updates every 15 minutes.

Bar Harbor Webcams at a Glance

  • Geddy’s Bar Harbor cam: a live view of downtown Bar Harbor, including Main Street, the waterfront and Frenchman Bay. It is run by the restaurant at 19 Main Street.
  • EarthCam Frenchman Bay cam: live streaming video of the water around Bar Harbor, the ferry terminal and the sand bar that connects Mount Desert Island to Bar Island. EarthCam provides the feed with the Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B.
  • barharborcam.com: an independent site with views of Bar Harbor from the Bar Harbor Inn, Bar Harbor East, the Trenton Bridge, the Jordan Pond House lawn and the Bubbles, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Somesville Bridge and Bass Harbor, plus a sunrise cam. The site’s footer shows a 2017 copyright, so some cams may be out of date.
  • National Park Service Acadia webcams: a Frenchman Bay camera with a view of Acadia from the Schoodic Peninsula that updates every 15 minutes, a Jordan Pond camera hosted with the operator of Jordan Pond House, and a McFarland Hill air-quality camera.

Which Cam Should You Use?

  • To see downtown: Geddy’s, for Main Street and the waterfront.

Tips for Using the Cams

  • Check the timestamp. Some cams stream live video and others show a still image that refreshes every few minutes.
  • Cams run by businesses, parks and individuals can go offline for maintenance, weather or technical problems.
  • Views are dark at night, so check during the day.
